Descaler - How to descale your steamer or garment steamer
Important!
To ensure you can enjoy your steamer for many years, it should be descaled regularly.
All our steamers can be descaled with Hvid vinegar or a regular descaler from your supermarket.
After descaling, remember to rinse the limescale out through the plug at the bottom of the machine and preferably
run the steamer once with clean water so no descaler gets on your clothes.
It is a good idea to use distilled water instead of tap water, as the steamer
will then build up significantly less limescale.
How to descale a steamer – 4 easy steps
1.
Empty the machine and the water tank.
2.
Pour Hvid vinegar/water (1-1) or regular household descaler
into the water reservoir in the mixing ratio specified on the product
you are using.
Let the machine sit overnight.
3.
Empty the reservoir and the machine of the solution.
Remove the water tank and unscrew the plug at the bottom of the machine.
4.
Rinse the machine thoroughly from the top (where the water tank sits)
and out through the bottom plug.
Screw the bottom plug back onto the machine, fill the water tank with clean water
and replace the water tank.
