Quality and thickness of paper and bags

What do the measurements displayed on the bags mean?

We offer products in various thicknesses and qualities — this is indicated in grams per square meter (gsm).
This denotes the material’s weight per m2 and therefore its durability and quality.

Paper:
For wrapping paper and printed materials we offer different grades ranging from light and delicate (70–90 gsm) to heavier, more durable options (100–120 gsm).

Cardboard:
Our cardboard products, such as boxes and cartons, are available in thicknesses from 120 gsm to 180 gsm, ensuring optimal protection and stability.

Bags:
We offer both paper and plastic bags in various thicknesses, ranging from light and flexible to extra durable, suitable for different uses and loads.

The thickness of paper in a paper bag is indicated in gsm.
The thickness of plastic in a plastic bag is indicated in microns.

What the measurements shown on the bags mean:
Example:

Measurements: W 35 x SF 14 x H 41 cm.
W = Width
SF = Side fold – the sides can be unfolded to xx cm.
H = Height of the bag
Bags can also have a bottom gusset, indicated as BF

In Denmark, all handled bags that can contain 5 liters or more are subject to a bag tax.
On our webshop the bag tax is clearly displayed on the relevant product.

Here is how it is calculated whether a bag is subject to the bag tax.
Using the example above:
( Width 35 cm x Bottom 14 x Height to handle 41 cm ) / 1,000 = 20.09 liters.
This bag therefore must be charged the bag tax.
